Exploring Your Life
A Gentle Way Of Getting To Know You
Therapeutic Counselling
My own lived experiences have influenced my special areas of interest. It does not mean I know what life is like for you but my experience means I understand the difficulties those difficulties can bring.
My main interest is loss in its many varied forms including:
Bereavement - regardless of the relationship and cause including sudden and traumatic loss.
I work with baby and pregnancy loss
I also provide pet bereavement counselling
Peri menopause and Menopause - including support for family and friends. Loss of who you were and your place in the world
Returning Ex-Pats - including the challenge of feeling foreign in your country of birth. Feeling homesick for the place and people you have left. This can include a sense of homesickness. Loss of a sense of belonging.
I also work with those who have experienced traumatic childhoods (known as ACE's). These can be as a direct result of some form of abuse or having lived in a home where abuse was occurring. We have experienced the loss of feeling safe and loved.
I work with the following issues
I also appreciate that sometimes we don't want to label our distress or problems
and this is ok
